I have been with Empower Care Scotland since July 2021, and it is a privilege to work with some of the most determined young people who overcome daily challenges.
The staff team are all friendly, approachable and will provide support to ensure that you are able to fully support the children and young adults in your care.

I joined Empower Care Scotland 7 years ago; in that time, I have supported various young people in different circumstances. Groups, summer camp outings and residentials. Also, the SDS support that I am part of. In the above I have, learned to canoe, zip wire, enjoyed experiences in outdoor centre, something I would never have attempted but knowing if the young people see staff participating then they will. Throughout the years picking up valued skills and then becoming a supervisor. These young people are amazing and the more staff Pip employ, more we can support.

Just a little message to say:
We have been using Empower Care Scotland for over 5 plus years now and we highly recommend their service. Without them we would not have the time to spend with our other children and have our own downtime a little breather if you like!!
Their support for my son is 10/10 and i trust their staff with him completely.
A great service all year round we would be lost without them.
Thanks

The staff demonstrate a real understanding of the complex issues that my son presents and always go the extra distance to ensure that the time my son spends with them is as rewarding as it can be. We would have no hesitation recommending the Empower Care Scotland service to any family looking for support with their young person.

I really look forward to a Monday and Wednesday, as they are the days, I go out with my Support Worker Kim from Empower Care Scotland. Kim takes really good care of me and makes sure all my needs are taken care off. We do lots of fun activities together like going to Disco Buddies, the Glenburn Centre, Cinema and Drumpellier Country Park weather permitting for a nice walk to keep me fit and healthy plus lots of other things. I also love going away on the Residential Weekends as they are always lots of fun, meeting up with friends, going to the beach, swimming, dancing, singing and enjoying every minute. The staff are all wonderful and make sure I have the best time possible.

I think Empower Care Scotland offer a fantastic and vital service to children and young adults with additional needs. My daughter has always been well taken care of, and she enjoys every minute of her time when she is with the staff of Empower Care Scotland. I am always kept up to date with everything they do while they have my have my daughter. I find this very helpful as it means I can talk to her about everything she has doner while in their care. I cat praise them enough as it’s a win, win situation for us as I get the much-needed respite to recharge my batteries to continue being my best for my daughter.

We have received support from Empower Care Scotland for many years now, it is an invaluable service tailored to suit us, what we need and when we need it most, we receive Community support, Respite residential weekends, and 1 :1 support for our son Aidan to attend College. He has had a few support workers over the years, and we have had no problems at all, they have treated Aidan and us with kindness, support and respect. Aidan is very sociable and loves getting out and about meeting new people, he loves the respite residential weekends away, joining in all the activities with his many friends he has met over the years. This gives us a chance to unwind and relax knowing he is being looked after and enjoying himself. Empower Care Scotland have supported Aidan the last 4 years to attend college, he has a 1 :1 support worker and he has gained so much from this experience. Aldan has got to try new things out and has gained so many new friends from his time there. During the holidays Aidan has 1 :1 community support, he attends some clubs and goes to the cinema, shopping, bowling, out for lunches etc all the things he enjoys doing. Thank you to all at Empower Care Scotland.

Hi, my name is Nicola and I have worked for Empower Care Scotland for 2 years. The staff at the office have fully supported me and are always very approachable, which is important as lone working is a large part of my job. I have supported many young people in the community and find that every child/young person has their very own personality like’s/dislikes, so every time is different, and I like the variety. My main job is to support some young adults at Motherwell College. It takes time for some to adjust and feel comfortable in a new environment and being around new people so as a support worker we need to be aware of this and go at their pace to build their confidence. At College is a very fun educational place for everyone and they do make friends and bond together with other students/peers. I really enjoy the atmosphere at college, the staff are very friendly and helpful too.
